    Nice Hard Butt

    What is the best routine for building a nice hard butt.. ..i workout at home and have a step bench that raises to 12 inches..and a ton of weights...thanks..

    One of the best exercises to do at home is dumbell lunges. They do a good job of hitting the glutes. Squats are a must, do them with dumbells or with a barbell. If you don't have a squat rack then dumbell squats are a good alternative. Good Luck.

    don't forget deadlifts (and their variations), GM's, hypers, reverse hypers.

    Yep, what they all said, db squats, lunges and deads. I also like walking steep inclines on the treadmill.

    Deep squat jumps (if your your knees are good) and 60 sec static hold at the bottom squats, in complex with any variant of squat or leg press.

    Sqauts X 10-12 no rest
    squat jumps X 12 no rest (land soft and go deep, explode back up, hips foward, block up with arms, and get as much air as you can)
    Static hold X 60 seconds

    All for a tri set , try this for 4 sets with only 1 min rest between sets.

    you'll curse me by the third set!!!
    That'll get your gluts (and quads) burning

    i disagree with the plyometrics unless you're able to push 1.5x body weight. i think that's what's recommended to avoid injury but i'll have to dig it up.

    Full squats are a great builder of the glutes. I'm talking deep.

    Unilateral squats are great too. I do them with one leg on a bench behind me. Again, go as deep as you can.

    Any good posterior chain movement is great as already said: deadlifts, good mornings, step ups, etc.
    The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

    I use an ancient stairmaster for warming up at home...the resistance is very heavy...like walking through hip deep snow.
