    Back Help!!!!

Recently I've been noticing a slight hunch on my back. When I try to reach my toes and by looking at the mirror on my left, I see a very huge kinda hunch or an arch. I have no idea what is causing this and I would appreciate it if someone would tell me why or if I have working on a muscle too much thats causing my shoulders to come forward. If you know any exercises that can help get my back straight, please say so. When I stand and do weights, I feel pain. While I stand for a while I still feel pain. Not a good sign. I doubt that its scoliosis.
A good routine with exercises would be appreciated

P.S If there is any exercises can you explain in detail

    -Thanks

i think maybe you might want to stop lifting weights if it causes pain, and even do something crazy like see a chiropracter or something.

Sorry, I wasnt trying to turn you down. I get pains in my back and the worst thing for me is to put stress on it. If it were my back i would rest it. If it is still painfull see a doctor etc.

get yourself a full body routine! focus on working all muscle groups and perfect form!

learn all you can from the training and diet forums on this website. dont work out any further untill you have put together a proper routine that has been oked by the guys in this forum!

your back is probably sore because your chest is pulling your shoulders forward. THIS IS WHY YOU NEED A FULL BODY ROUTINE!!!!!

    Bah

Yea I have not started the deadlifts, or the Squats or the military presses. I have done mostly bench press that is why I have a good pectoralis. I think taht is pulling my shoulders forward causing the hunch..?

If you are just leaning forward a little bit, then working your scapular retractors should help pull you back up. These muscles include the middle and lower traps, lats, and rhomboids. Evening out an imbalance in your anterior and posterior delts could also assist in solving the problem if that is the case. Lower back work is also always a good idea to help keep your spine in a neutral position.

However, if you are experiencing pain, you should definitely consider seeking out a doctor's advice. Only work on what I told you with his approval.

If you are experiencing pain, then schedule a doctor's appointment and stop lifting. Don't take advice over the Internet from random people based on a vaguely described situation that we can't get any more information on in the form of running tests.

Don't drop the exercises, just don't overload the other exercises to maintain the strength you do have. Then, add in additional work for your back.

Do you believe that this was caused by the pectoralis of having more mass than the shoulders and back?

two months of working out naturally is not going to make his chest so big that it pulls his back into a hump....He was prolly using poor form on a few exercises as most newbs can do and something in his back is a little out of alignment. Same thing happened to me and it was described as a minor subluxation in the lower back and it can be adjusted with a few visits to the chiropractor and he doesn't even have to stop lifting weights if that's the case. What happens is the muscles in the back tighten up to hold everything in place and just picking up stupid stuff in my room would give me lactic acid burn from hell in my lower back. Also when I did anything like squats or deads or any leg exercises for that matter it would start to hurt and knot up QUICKLY.

I say you go see a chiro first...it's cheap and he can prolly fix u up.

i have a hunch all ur problems are from piss poor form, idk ur story but dont be a jackass tryn to bench 200 lbs everyday, only handle weights that you are very comfortable with and get the correct form down, this may take a few months but u will thank me for it big time

    Vanquish,
It's hard to help with the limited data you are providing and no pictures. If your back is indeed this screwed up, I have a hard time believing it's from 2 months of lifting. However, as you are 16, I would get with your parents, tell them what's going on, and get to a doctor. Your treatment may be as simple as wearing a clavical harness for a few weeks for a couple hours a day. But if you really do look like Igor, nothing that anyone tells you in this forum is going to fix it. Get with your folks, and see the doc.
