Finally got 2x BW Bench Press!!!!!!

I thought I had got in a rut but finally yesterday my bench went higher than ever. I have been trying for a while to get to the 2x bench press and finally got it. I weighed in at 201 lbs. BW Warmed up with normal 225x10, then 315x5 , 365x1 then.....405X1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so pumped! I have to give alot of credit to this site b/c in the past my diet has sucked and the info and members on this site has helped get me where I want to be. I can't wait to start my tune-up cycle now in Jan. as I look forward to some real good gains. BTW, I am 23yrs. old, about 12-13% BF, 32" waist, 17" arms and ALL NATURAL....... for now!

Congrats!!! 400 lb bench press is pretty damn impressive (especially at 200 lbs). Keep up the good work.

Good job nate, have you thought about what you are going to do for cycle next year? Do a thread on it, I'm thinking about doing a bench meet in about 14 months and planned out some cycles to get ready for it....I'll post a link to that thread so you can read up on some cycle ideas.

thanks for the comments guy's. I checked out the link foreman and will post about my cycle soon. You give me some advise a while back when I was getting it together. Just your basic test/deca cycle for 10 weeks. I hope to get some real good size and strength gains from it and might add some anadrol at the end for the last little kick for strength but I think I will stick to just the test/deca for now...... I am scared of the anadrol hahaha Hope everyone has a good x-mas!!!!!!

Just an update from my previous post. I wieghed in at 214 lbs.--Tonight I benched 225x10, 315x8, 365x5, 405x3!!!!! WOW!!!! I am really pleased with my gains and this Mon. was the start of week 6 in my cycle and my gains have come on strong in the last 2-3 weeks. I have a little bit of water in my face and stomach but other than that am still pretty lean. I would say around 15%bf. I still fit in my 32" jeans comfy but no more large shirts for me. I have had to buy all XL shirts to fit and they are still a little snug in the shoulders and arms hahaha I LOVE IT THOUGH!!!!!!! My arms are up to 18" and my neck is 18 1/2" but I had no start meas. on it. Chest is 52" but no before there either. Up on my measureing also b/c I am ordering my Double Denim bench shirt from KARENS xtreme powerware this week in prep for my contest on April 1st! Shooting for 500 by then so we will soon see!!!! Just thought I would share my updated results with you guys and let me know what ya think Later

    I'm doing about 65%, wooh!

You have a big chest for that arm measurement, do you feel imbalanced? Neck is big too. Do you have someone to help you out with the shirt (putting it on, training in it etc)?

Good luck with the comp! I wanted to myself last year, didn't work out.

Mudge, I wish I could get my arm size up more than anything. I think they look the smallest in proportion to my overall size. I have never really had a neck at all and it is worse now than ever! My collers on my shirts are level with my lower jaw bone so to say the least I have NO neck- hahaha Some of my friends are calling me "No Neck Nate" hahaha it's pretty funny! As for the bench shirt , yes my partner helps me get in and out of it. I just have a ehphd blast single poly INZER shirt right now. I got it when I wieghed about 200 lbs. 2 years ago and it is VERY tight. I am expecting it to tear any day now but hopefully I will have my denim here before it does. I prob. train in it 2x's a month and 2x's without. I don't wanna solely rely on it for my bench and it has helped me get comfy with some heavier wieght and be able to do it raw now. Karens say's 70-120lb. increase is average for thier double denim but everyone is different. I think I could get 450 fresh maxing now with the shirt I have so I do not think 500 is too far out of reach by April 1st.

I wanted 500 so badly, I was thinking I was going to get it raw in a couple months from when I was peaking last year but I ended up having injury issues, then lost my training partner. Now I can't even really do light barbell work without problems, so I just have to take a break from flat work completely.

I was in a trainer shirt, 1.5" oversized or so (54 and I was 52.5" at my peak), single ply poly. I got about 25 or so out of it, not much. Just break in your shirt for a month or so before your meet, good luck man!
