get someone to show you. it is way to complicated to teach over the internet and besides that you will need a lot of practice to really get the benefit of the lift and nail the form.

it does but only if your technique is good. Otherwise, doing an explsove reverse curl isn't going to get you much in the way of results since you really aren't using your hips and traps to their fullest potential.

    anything plyometric in nature really.

also, any lift like squats, deadlifts, bench press, push press (jerks) that you lower the intensity of the weight you are lifting and work on moving it for speed.

snatches I tend to stear away from UNLESS the person is going to be going into olympic lifting for the main reason being that they can put strain on the shoulder and they are very very technical to learn and teach. The same triple ext. can be achieved iwth the clean and jerk.

the bottom position squats are great for increasing strength but for power they aren't so good since the take away the stretch shortening cycle which is chararteristic of plyometric explosive exercises.

Bottom squats work well for hip strength though, so they can help with explosiveness.

You should also consider woodchoppers. Also referred to as lumbersjacks. You can find a description in this article:

    Aren't lumberjacks reverse woodchoppers?

strength and power aren't the same thing. One can have great amounts of strength but low amounts of explosiveness. Look at a guy who squats a ton....that doesn't mean that he has an amazing vertical. One can have great amounts of explosiveness but not a whole lot of strength. Some people have great verticals yet have poor squat strength in comparison. An athlete should train both elements properly and focus on the one which is his weakest link.

What athlete, we're talking about crash here. Crashing your bike and drinking are not sports.

I think woodchoppers are having a medball next to an ear and throwing it to someone in front of you with a chopping motion, or slamming a ball into the ground from an overhead position. I think T-mag uses reverse woodchopper and woodchopper interchangeably though.

I got woodchopper from EliteFTS. Actually, they called it woodchopper forward, but whatever.
