I have mixed feelings....I have a problem accepting the "theory" of spreading out the sets for each exercise/body part through out the course of a week. So, basically it's a full body work-out three times per week, using 1-2 sets per exercise.

It's similar to HIT (High Intensity Training).

I do not think I will not be trying it any time soon! But, if you do please let us know your results.

I have tained in this manner (somewhat) My results were crap. Not enough work and too much down time for each muscle.

    Just my opinion......

Well I'm in my first week of it. My workout partner insisted upon it. I really don't feel one way or the other right now. I don't think it will hurt me to stay with it. I'm gonna be strict with it and let you guys know the results.

I did it for about 51/2 weeks and quite enjoyed it.

I would have done the full 8 weeks but it was way to hard on my shoulder and elbow joints....final two workouts were shyt as I was in too much pain, so I ended up stopping

The other thing I found....if you do both deads and squats.....my lower back was never quite recovered for the next workout....yet as you know, you gotta go up in wieght....that always worried me, kind of asking for an injury.

I did HIT for ~1year, actually might have been even longer. I noticed some great gains intially - body weight and strength kept going up, just as fast as any of my buddies who did 4X, 5X /week (mine was only 2x/week) - and it worked great for months, it was quite surprising i was making gains when working out SO little - we're talking ONE set per body part per week !!!! i wouldnt have believed it if it hadnt worked

but then i stopped gaining - this might have been due to the fact that training only 20mins 2X/week just started having a mental effect on me, training was turning into less and less of a lifestyle, so my eating got sloppy, etc... i found it really hard to keep the calories up when training that infrequently

i'm back to trying a higher volume approach for the next several weeks, and i've been making pretty great gains, i may do HIT in the future during down times again
