    Yeah, probably throughout the day. Muscle supposedly consumes 30-50 calories a day per pound.
    The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

    actually we had a thread here a while ago (like a year plus) where that myth was busted. muscle is not that much more metabolically active than fat when at rest. however, as Dale pointed out, once the muscle becomes active its a different story (ie walking, picking stuff up etc)
