    Some muscles I can train through pain-others fail before the pain.

    Why is it , that my upper body muscles fail before the pain, but my leg muscles feel the pain and yet I can keep on doing more reps.(assuming I can stand the pain....)

    Upper body exercises likethe EZ bar bicep curl, Incline Barbell Bench press or 'Barbell press in front of the neck', I reach the last last possible rep and can no longer raise the bar......but there is no pain.

    With my legs, on say the; leg extension,curl or calf raise, it can start to hurt really badly, but one can continue to push out the reps..... (The only factor in my leg exercises is how masochistic one is.....)

    The "odd one out here" is the squat, my thighs start to hurt yet could do more, but my lower back gives (fails), and I have to stop.

    Maybe my squat is lacking in form, I don't know........

    legs are half of your body, huge muscles, on which your whole body rests and because of which you are able to move around, pick stuff up etc. you are always using them, and they are, as far as functionality goes, the most important muscles in your body so they are able to do the most work of any muscle group. as you said, its very rare for anyone to actually fail on a leg move because of their legs.

    Interesting, in my case I'd say that my 'heavier' body half is in the lower body. Some people have naturally thin legs, but mine were always fairly 'heavy'.{maybe partly because I've got short legs}

    Yeah I know exactly what you mean, upper body kind of just goes then stops, I had to use DBs and forced reps to really get them killed.
