Volume is how many reps/sets you do. 3x2 is low volume whereas 3x20 is high volume.
Intensity is the percentage of your 1RM you work with or how hard you actually work during a workout. Someone who uses 95% of their max for many lifts on a regular basis is lifting at a much higher intensity than another person who uses 60% of his/her 1RM.
