OK I decided to go ahead and join the gym again which is the same one where I used to go. I'm trying to decide which muscles to workout on which day.
I have decided to split my routine to 3 days a week. I am very busy so I can't go more then 3. Here is what I got so far.....
Day1-Chest,triceps
Day2-Biceps,back,traps,forearms
Day3- legs
I'm trying to decide where to put shoulders and lats at.
Any suggestions?
I would like to stick them with day2 but it seems like my day at the gym will be too long and I try to keep my workout to about 1 hour.
Feel free to make any modifications to this schedule.
not if you learn to set it up right and balance out your exercises over the three days.
think about it....if you do 10 sets for chest all on monday do you think you can really give those last 4 sets your all after hammering out the pervious six? What about if you want to train a few different parameters (ie, various rep ranges or tempos)? Don't you think that would be difficult to do if you had to do it all in one day? I mean honestly, something would suffer. Now think...if you plan it properly you can do your 10 sets for chest split over 3 days! Each day training a differet variable (strength, rep range, endurance or power, etc..). You can focus on not just one thing but many things that will work together you help you in your gaols. Also, metabolic recovery takes place within' 48hrs. Why would you want to wait 7 days to train again? Seems like a waste of time to me? Don't you think?
Let me dig up Cowpimp's thread on how to set up a total body worout and maybe you can become enlightend and learn a new way of training.
