I don't even do curls, maybe once or twice a month that's about it.
Alot of people do chest and bi's together, I don't see why not.
Well I did arms today my normal bi/tri workout on saturday. I was in a rush but got a really good tri workout, and neglected the bis. I only did like 15min of biceps, and it wasn't too intense at all.
Would it be worthless to do a few sets of curls after my chest workout on tuesday? Maybe like 5 sets of standing curls? Or would that be pointless?

Shouldn't be a big deal, tri's make up 2/3 of your arm anyway, people always get hooked into the bi's when they should focus on the tri's.

I just don't get why these kids train their arms on seperate days.......ah....the folly of youth

I agree, stronger tris help with flat benching.Originally Posted by ForemanRules

True, but I once went for about two weeks with out training tris and I did notice a difference.
Maybe it's all in my mind but when I went back to doing tris my bench went back up .
I think triceps are the most important muscle for benchingOriginally Posted by min0 lee

Just don't worry about it. 15 minutes spent on working your biceps alone is more than enough anyway.

not necessarily, most people dont train arms whatsoever and they still grow from major push and pull movements. I barely train arms and they are still growing.Originally Posted by ForemanRules

AHAHHHAHAAH Most people dont train arms?
If anything arms are the most trained muscle! I swear I love this forum but we have our fair share of uninformed morons on this board, who suck at life.
What country do you live in? If you live in the US, I can guarantee arms are the most trained muscle, especially biceps. You can walk into any gym in the nation and see 5 people doing curls.
And I love all the great responses I got to my question..

Coming from a guy who does 15 minutes of biceps and plans on doing 5+ sets of more bicep work on tuesday. You must be moron #1 on this board. Stop being a pussy and focus on major compound work.Originally Posted by r0dxx

Would it be weird if I said me too?
Most advanced lifters still do train their arms though - just indirectly. I know what you're saying though - one can easily do nothing direct for the arms and still see major growth via major compound movements involving the arms, including C&Js, benches, pull ups, etc. I suppose it would depend on the definition of an advanced lifter, though. An advanced bodybuilder would still train arms directly whereas an advanced weightlifter would not. An advanced powerlifter may do so because the biceps can provide extra spring in the bench press. An advanced strongman most likely would not.Originally Posted by shiznit2169
