Yeah man cardio is great for the heart and for an active recovery. If you are bulking, trying to put on muscle, consume more calories to offset the calories burned during the cardio.

I always thought "off days" meant that you were off from doing any type of exercise?

yes but cut way back due to not getting any gains. i was doing a 2 1/2 mile run 3 days a week plus about 2 hours of basketball on Sundays to go along with 4 days lifting. two of my running days came after lifting. i now have been running just 1 day a week just unsure of doing it after lifting or on a off day and maybe pick it up to 2 days again as basketball starts form the end of next month. i just get bored as heck on off days and fell like its been a wasted lazy day

I think he just means days when he is not lifting.

it is all in your diet.

I knew what he meant. I was just making a statment. Off days are off. If you are doing cardio it is not an off day. Grow outside of the gym, not in it.
