    Spinning?

I'm reading my NSCA book and when they list common physical activities (like football and resistance training) they mention an activity called "spinning." What the hell is "spinning?"
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

it is a group fitness class that is all about biking on a stationary speed bike (road bike). It is really really popular.

All of a sudden I have the urge to get into my car and commit a hit and run against some stationary bikes...

Really officer, they came out of nowhere.

you should see the assholes that take it at the gym. There are two types of people that take spin from what I have observed:

    1) The fucking dip shit that thinks taking spin class means he is riding next to Lance Armstrong. He shows up to class wearing his special clip on spin shoes and his tight lycra spandex pants and shirt which oddly enough also has a sponsers name on it like US Postal service. he thinks he is cool because he wears the gear but the pants are way to tight and his gut is haning over them. he is fat and usually smells bad because it is first thing in the morning, he hasn't showered and when he gets pedaling he is sweating bullets just in the warm up.

    then

    2) The fat middle age woman that swear that spinning gets them in shape like nothing else and the one time they worked out with a trainer they gained weight and got bulky. The only problem is that they were never NOT bulky. The are fat and clearly spinning isn't working for them but they don't want to tell themselves that because that would mean that they have to workout with weights and actually do something. They have been taking spinning for the past 4 years and for some reason their ass has gotten bigger.

Today was my second day in spinning class, I'm only going because my fat ass friend needs motivation. Anyways, after 15min I almost fainted. It seriously worked me out. I can usually run 2miles on treadmill with no problems.

Pfunk is dead on about the wannabe tour de france fags. Makes me want to bitch slap them.

This is exactly what I envisioned. I bet that afterwards they all go out and celebrate their hard exercise with frozen yogurt...with all the toppings.

Actually, spinning at the gym I workout at isn't bad at all. I guess I got lucky, because 90% of the class is hot ass college girls with the occasional tour de France fag. I spin in the back row and check out the asses of girls when we simulate mountain climbs.
Yeah I already know, I am pathetic.

it's an indoor cycle class, the nick name is spinning. it's a great cardio
on a specail type of excr bike. although depending on the instructor it can suck.

The thing I have against spinning is that people equate more work from the fact that they get a good sweat from it. You get a good sweat from it because they pack 50 of you into a room the size of a fiucking closet and turn up the heat, get off your fat ass and run.

Now that the door's open.......................I used to teach it too. Had a few Lance wannabe's and a few who looked like they were going to bend the frame of the bike, but most were pretty hardcore about their workouts and wanted to have fun at the same time. Great bunch of people.

What's wrong with spinning? I do it three hours each day in my house. Anyone who spins without the proper safety equipment is a fool. I feel that pink is the best color to wear. It allows me to really focus on what I'm doing and I'm sure it helps others around me. I think everyone should give it a try to tone the entire body!
