What's the scheme for deloading using active recovery

I used to take a week (or less) off....but I think this time round I'd rather just go lighter...

Is that the basic premise? I can feel burn-out coming on as I approach week 5... so I'm curious about the idea'r behind active recovery.

Is it bascially a lighter percentage of your working weight?
Plus a higher volume of your routine for a week or so?

Anyone have a link explaining the concept or a good book or article to pick up the outlines this?....I searched around the site and found a lot of instances of the phrase coming up but nothing really on the concept or how to incorporate it into your routine.

    Thanks for any help.

could be a lot of things.....

    maintain intensity and drop volume/frequency.

    drop intensity and volume.

If it is active recovery that you seek, then drop your training volume/frequency and cut the volume down.
