    working pecks

I started working out abour four or five months ago to lose weight cuz I was getting heavy and now I'm in to it and im almost where i want to be but I cant find a good work out for my lower chest thats really the only place that im carrying extra. I do have a weight machine It's a marcy 1800 I think and it has the peck deck thing(I think thats it It's the one where you push the bars with your arms going towards each other) and a vertical bench press.I tried doing the bench press just sitting lower or standing higher but I didnt feel anything in my lower chest and I also tried the peck deck but it hurts my shoulders. Please help.

If you mean you are carrying extra fat on you lower pecs, reducing your body fat level would be more crucial than increasing the size of your chest muscles.

If you want to get a good chest workout anyway, go with free weights and hit the standard flat bench, incline, decline, butterflys, and dips. It might take you a while to work up to ding all of those in one session. No machine can compare to free weights.

i dont believe that there is a difference between your upper and lower chest. listen to the clemson tiger, lower your body fat and your chest will flourish.

You cannot spot reduce. I do believe building up your chest muscles will help your appearance though. However, you cannot target your lower chest in such a manner. What are your stats? Maybe you just need to cut/diet down some, drop that bodyfat.
