    What should I start with?

Today I'm going to do db bench...But I'm always confused what my warm up sets should be?

My working sets are 100lb, 110lb, then 120lb for 2 sets.

What would be a good warmup set/sets? Last time I did 45lb then went right to 100lb db's and it seemed like to big of a jump.

How many reps are you doing for your working sets? A warm up set should be a set that gets your blood flowing and muscles stretched out a bit for the motion you are about to do. Realisticly, if your working set consist of lets say 6 reps, and you do the 45s for 12 reps as a warm up set, then you could probably up your weight and decrease the reps on the warm up set. You wouldnt experience that big jump in weight and the net effect of the warm up set will be about the same.

Or do 2 warm up sets, but now you may be getting into volume issues.
Hit it and hit it hard.

IMO warm up sets should be in the 1-5 rep range. maybe 5 at 40% of your working set weight. 3 at 70% and 1 at 90%.

Today I did 50lb for 20 reps, and felt good the rest of my workout.
