define high reps a bit better.

Personally i use low (4-6) and high (8-12) for almost all exercises. that is, a heavy low rep set and then a high rep set with a lowered weight.

If your MAIN goal is increased mass, most of your sets should fall in the 8-12 rep range, but there is nothing wrong with some low rep...3-6, and some high rep...12-20, work also.

You can either incorporate all of this into one workout or work different rep ranges week to week....

    Weeks
    1...8-12
    2...8-12
    3...3-6
    4...8-12
    5...8-12
    6...12-20
    etc

I typically use a heavy/ light rotation. One week I will go heavy low reps, the next week I will go lighter higher reps.

as long as your not training the same body parts as the day before and getting enough sleep and eating right, and taking a good anti-oxidant/mult-vita formula, then yes it should be alright. also it does depend on your goals, how are you training now??
