Since I've got this shootfighting background, I tend to work my abs the "navy seal"-way.

I like Lying Bike crunches (where you bring your left elbow to your right knee and vice versa,
like you were driving a unicycle while lying on your back). Make sure your shoulders come free from the floor!

Hanging Leg raises (slow, controlled and with a good squeeze,
not the humping around like a pregnant whale).

And ofcourse straight crunches on a roman chair, medicine ball crunches with a partner, side crunches on a bench, Rope pulldown crunches ...

I might not have the ripped midsection yet, but I can take a beating in my stomach and not budge (and that's more important for me than a six-pack!).

I like hanging leg raises (and knee raises) as well. Those things rock.

Yeah Sysopt, after Squats and Deadlifts your abdominals will often be sore... takes alot of effort to stablize the torso with a good bit of weight up. Some days after a serious chest workout my abs will be sore.

Preacher - Yeah, my Kickboxing instructor nailed me a couple times full on in the stomach the other day and I just about shit myself, but still kept on going. Of course the heel to the head a minute later kind of took the wind out of me
