    cardio and cutting

if ur goal is to slowly build mass and cut at the same time, what benefits do you get from cardio work? the cardio work will burn some calories but surely u cud just cut those calories out of your diet any way. (obviously you'l improve ur cv system, but not thinking about that atm)

there are few instances where it's possible to do both at the same time:

    1) new to lifting + diet
    2) new to heavy lifting + diet
    3) gear + diet

Yeah I wonder the same thing. My friend's dad is always ragging on me about bodybuilding(even though he used to train heavily back in the day). He tells me, "if you want to get big like Arnold you have to do some aerobic exercise too".

IMO I find it best to Bulk up doing 0 cardio, just intense weight lifting. Then lose the Fat later. I bulk up all winter and usually have no problem with losing the Fat come summer. just my $.02

You typically do burn more calories from a cardio session. However, there is a limit to how much lifting your body can tolerate. The upper limit for aerobic exercise seems to be a lot higher, or even exercise that doesn't involve resistance above a certain intenstiy threshold.

Not to mention, some people also value their health. There are numerous health benefits to performing exercises that really tax the cardiovascular system.

I would guess depending on what you do. If you see any MMA fighters, they would obviously need to do a lot of cardio so they don't gas.

For health reasons, and I like to be in overall strength, speed, mobility, endurance, agility, etc. I focus a more on strength than the others, but I try not to totally neglect everything else.
