The point is that there is no way to accruately estimate what you're asking.

when i first started i did 65-75 pounds, rep 6-8
Now i can rep 175 6-8 rep, almost one year sine i started to workout. so 100 lbs isnt impossible in one year. (i know i just started, but just making a point) |

Remember that in contest you will be required to lower the bar under control and pause until you get the green light to lift and your butt must not come off the bench. I do not know your age group but realize that others of similar body weight will be delivering 500 plus bench presses and they will still be well below what the strongest lifters will produce. When I was in the military a 340 bench at #165 bodyweight put me in the middle of the pack and the strongest guy in my category was pushing 432.5. I did not have gear so my lift could have been better with the shirt. Good luck! |

Just fun information.... pulled this from the powerlifting records.
Keep in mind these are world records not what you might see at a small local competition. The dude in your weight category in senior division pushed 282.5 kilos (621.5lbs). 52kg Andrzej Stanaszek 1971 POL 50.00 182.5 05.11.2003 Vejle DEN 56kg Konstantin Pavlov 1973 RUS 56.00 190.0 19.05.2005 Hamm LUX 60kg Ayrat Zakiev 1981 RUS 59.71 210.0 19.05.2005 Hamm LUX 67.5kg Ravil Kazakov 1982 RUS 67.20 232.5 10.11.2005 Miami USA 75kg Wade Hooper 1971 USA 74.80 232.5 17.07.2005 Duisburg GER 82.5kg Jan Wegiera 1965 POL 82.03 255.0 20.05.2005 Hamm LUX 90kg Jan Wegiera 1965 POL 84.75 263.0 19.07.2005 Duisburg GER 100kg Ivan Freydun 1981 UKR 99.60 290.0 12.11.2005 Miami USA 110kg Nikolay Suslov 1979 RUS 109.80 282.5 12.11.2005 Miami USA 125kg Yevgen Yarymbash 1983 UKR 123.80 325.0 13.11.2005 Miami USA 125+kg Daisuke Midote 1972 JPN 136.00 350.5 13.11.2005 Miami USA |

#2. 1 100lb gain on the bench press from ground zero ( in 12 months ) is 1,000,000 miles away from a troll claiming to gain 100lbs on his bench naturally in 4 months......and that is from a trained 225 max....not a total beginner 100-150 max. #3. You are a joke and full of shit son |

#2. It wasn't a "trained 225 max" I did a lot of pushups and that's what I could do when I started, but being as smart as you apparently are you must've known that already. Whatever, where's your PhD in Applied Physiology? #3. You are a jackass and need to get a life. Seriously 30k+ posts on an internet forum...in less than a year. That's an average of ~ 110 to 115 per day. Kinda hard to actually do anything other than type on a keyboard and I'd bet that leaves you winded. The fact that you "know" so much is one of the reasons why this'll be one of my last posts on these forums. If there's one idiot like you on here there's gotta be lots more. Have a nice life, idiot. |
