    wraps

    Silly question mabey...

Wraps, around the calves, knee, arms.. I see many of the dedicated utilizing them.. what purpose do they serve? Muscle warming, support? Are they recommended? Do you use them?

From what I understand, they're used when you using massive amounts of weight at typically low reps.

EG, in worlds strongest, when doing the squatting, they use wraps on their knees, and I think this helps that from dislocating/popping out of place.
I love it when a plan comes together.

They also let you move more weight. At the same time, they lead to a lot of added friction on your patella.

There are also wraps that are merely heat packs and keep the joints warm but don't offer any form of support.
