numbers and approximations.....

what percent range do you want to work with certain rep schemes? [how many times should i left 90 percent of my max in a set]? id like to know this for the following rep schemes:

12
10
8
6
5
3

You don't really need to know an exact percentage. Just use enough weight so the exercise has the amount of intensity you desire. People are different in that I may perform better in the 2 rep range and you may perform better in the 12 rep range, so it's hard to give an exact figure anyways.

You could always do a search on google for 1RM percentage charts and look at the approximate percentages for each max of the 1RM and base your weights off that.

depends on what you are trying to do....

If you are working for a rep max of 10 reps in a set then you are going to use aprox. 75% of your 1RM since that is your 10RM.

If you are doing to try and do 3 sets x 6 reps with a constant weight you would want to shoot for a 7-8RM so you would be at around 80% of your 1RM.

If it is power training your percentage of 1RM could very greatly depending on what you are trying to accomplish.
