how to prepare for games

How do you prepare for games. I'm a soccer player and when it comes to prepareing for games i dont do much. I know you are suppose to eat a lot of carbs and thats about it. Why is it that some days i feel i could run 10 miles and some days i feel like poop. Since its still cold we practice indoor once a week. i workout my legs on tuesdays and we have practice on saturday. About two weeks ago i felt like crap at practice. My legs got tired easily. But this past saturday and about three weeks ago i felt great. Why is it that that one day i felt like crap and the other days i felt like i could run forever? How do i prepare so that i always feel great? I'm sorry if my questions are kind of dumb.

Prepare for game = rest, eat well, and practice skills

I guess to me its the mood i am in.
I play soccer as well and i understand what your asking. I used to get that too...now i just put all my focus on the game. Unless i ate a whole bunch before playing then thats when its hard to play. Otherwise just get rest...dont skip warming up your leg...cause if your not warmed up and run at a very high speed at once..trust me it'll hurt lol.

eat well as well .

good luck .

Think of it like a workout. Carbohydrates and protein should constitute the bulk of your calories before a game. Complex carbs would be the best choice so that you don't crash later in the game, but simple carbs could also be used as well. You may also consider a few gulps from some type of sports drink during the game if you find that the meal you are eating before the game isn't cutting it.
