    growth stunt

    Im only 15 and i still have some growing to do. Would doing standing or seated military presses with 100 lbs affect my growth in any way because of the pressure on my spine? please say no

    Weight lifting will not effect your bone growth at all..

    Totally unfounded. Unless you damage an epiphyseal plate (Which is very rare), your growth will continue unabated. It would make more sense to think that weightlifting actually enhances growth beacuse it ellicits increased production of anabolic hormones. I'm not say that this is the case, but simply that it would make more sense.
