    Rest.....do you do it??

How often do you take time off from lifting?? In the past when I was healthy I would take 2 weeks off every 6 months.....plus skip a workout or two during those 6 months when my body didn't feel strong or my mind felt burned out.
I highly recommend all IronMagLabs supplements!

I usually take a week off around early July and late December. Plus the occasional missed WO for joint pain or sick. I get bored after a few days off and just cannot get more than a week off.

taking a week off every 3 months is the best thing you can do for your training.

I broke my hand and was 100% out of the gym for 6 whole weeks (i hadn't taken time off in way over 3 months).
Not only did my strength get right back to where it was and surpass where I was previously, but i also got bigger and leaner quicker.

I lift 6/7 days of the week. 3 heavy 3 light though and I have seen good results from doing this.

it pains me to take weeks off moreso than it does to not take the weeks off at all. Next week off will be when I get my wisdom teeth out on the 31st of March.

Only time I have taken off in the last 14 months was when I was sick, or the week after katrina came through and knocked out power for a week. My psychological state depends on working-out. If I go more than 2 days without lifting I start to become depressed.

I take a week off every 3 months give a take a week or two. If you were sick for a week...would you count that as a week off? I do even though I shouldn't because my body can't really recover as well as it could if I wasn't sick. I just hate to think of taking 2 weeks off.

I used to take a week off every 2-3 months, and just based it on how I felt. Now I deload every 6 weeks, but don't actually refrain from lifting unless I am ill.

My current split has me resting three out of its nine days...

I just took 8 months off. I think I'll do that every 6 weeks. That way I'll avoid overtraining
What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)
