    Cardio After Weights??

Hey all i had a quick question.. Would cardio after weights be alright?? My plan was to wake up eat a good prework out meal and hit the gym about an hour later and drink a protein shake w/ water and then hit the treadmill for a little bit. I normally do cardio in the morning on an empty stomach away from lifting days however im going to be eating a gigantic meal with a ridiculous amount of calories and im not going to be able to walk afterwards so i was planning on maybe running straight after weights before the meal to help out the metabolism/minimize the effects of this ridiculous amount of food gaining some pudge on the tummy ??? however im not sure if this will create catabolic effect on my muscles.. Advice would be greatly appreciated! I normally wouldnt sweat having a big cheatmeal but as i am on springbreak my diet has all gone to hell and ive eaten pizza, popcorn and cheeseburgers w/ fries just about every meal and im worried my 6 pack is starting to disappear . Thanks for your time!

I'm currently doing cardio after weights two times a week, but I keep it to 10-15 mins... Many people will say that it's best to do it on a seperate day from weight training, or at a different time of day if done the same day as weight training...

ya i know i normally do it on my days off from lifting in the mornings however like i said i have a big meal coming up and i wanted to boost the metabolism as much as possible to decrease the effects all those calories im going to be takin in (im talking the motherload of all food haha). So was going to train and take a scoop of whey w/ water in between weights and cardio... was wondering if that would defeat the purpose of me even working out trying to gain mass as it may be catabolic?? Was going to keep the cardio limited to about 20 min of medium intensity for fat burning

I sometimes don't even bother with cardio if I'm trying to bulk.

I like doing my indoor rower after a workout for a 5 kilometer session. About 20-24 minutes depending on the pace I set.

This not only gives me needed cardio but this kind of excercise will help purge out fatigue toxins (lactic acid) built up in your body if done with low- medium intensity.

When I am cutting, most of my cardio is done immediately after weights.

I don't necessarily recommend it when you're trying to bulk up, but even that would probably be fine if you kept your calories in check or consumed some liquid calories in the middle.
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

I do cardio in the evenings - weights in the morning... It probably should be the other way around, but there are too many "kids" in the gym at 5-6 pm

(no offense to the younger crowd here)

I like to do the rower as well, usually after a good back workout, I find it helps to stretch everything out.
