cramped neck

Halfway through WO, was just doing barbell lunges alternating goodmornings (just bar) when I put down the bar after 2 sets and the muscle running along the right side of my neck cramped up something fierce. I threw in the towel. Side effects of the game from time to time? or preventable?

There are a lot of reasons a muscle might cramp up. Dehydration and lacking eloctrolytes are one possible reason. Improper placement of the bar could potentially be another reason. Do you keep your head up when you do these movements?

pinched nerve?

Check out the new stretching sticky that I posted. You may be able to find some stretches or ideas for warm up to help out that area.

yea, try to maintain my eyes looking forward if not up at all times. Its been a few hours and has loosened up to the point where it feels like if you slept on it wrong. Will check into stretching up a bit.
