3 deadlift questions
1. I know that deadlifts work ur shoulders and get them big. Which one works ur shoulders more: the stiff-leg deadlift or the quadricep deadlift?
2. I know that deadlifts, squats, and lifting weights doesn't stunt your growth or anything (thats what ive mostly heard) but i really need make sure. Is there anyone here that has deadlifted or squated HEAVY at a young age and now ur much older and it hasnt affected ur growth at all ever since? 3. How good does deadlifting work ur shoulders at a scale from 1 to 10? 1=barely works them and 10=as good as military pressing |

Deadlifting doesn't really work your shoulders much at all... I believe you're thinking of traps(the muscle on the sides of the neck that extend over to the upper back)?
Also, I've never heard of a quadricep deadlift, you probably mean a conventional deadlift (narrow stance). |

Deadlifting doesn't really work your shoulders...
There is no evidence that squatting or deadlifting stunts your growth. That is so asinine. |

Deadlifts use your whole body but primarly your hamstrings, lower back, and spinal erectors. I think. |

At 15 years of age you have no problems. Deadlift away.
Are your questions related to wanting to know about deadlifts or wanting big shoulders? |

What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)

Functional Lifting = Life
|
I started over a year ago and I haven't experienced any problems. I go above 400 on a regular basis with deadlifts and do bottom ATG squats (no problems with my knees either) with 285 or so for a back squat. Definitely not death-defying, but respectable nonetheless.

yea, I started lifting young. Yes, I am short. But I wasn't going to grow much anyway (shit bag genetics). It is a proven fact that resistance training will not stunt growth provided good form is maintained and increases in weight are made logically and the program is put together properly. In short (get it..haha), you may fuck yourself up if you are a moron and don't listen to proper adive on training. |
