how much weight is this ?

What does 260 lbs on the converging plate press equate to on bench ?
i dont have a spotter so im trying to figure out where i am at .

there is no direct conversion from a particular machine to free weights. This is because free weights hit your stabalizing muscles as well, and machines typically have unpredictable resistance associated with their moving parts, and often move at angles that are different from free weight exercises.

the only way to know your free weight max bench is to do it. If you need a spotter, ask someone else doing bench. I would start with less than you can do on the machine.

Since machines are 10 X easier than free weights, i'd say around 100 LB's.

on the hammer strength decline machine i can do 5 plates on each side for reps which is all it can hold. im pretty sure i cannot decline press 450 pounds once on a real bench.
