    % of People in Gym

I've noticed in the new gym that I joined, many of the guys have bigger upper bodies and skinny pencil legs. I have enjoyed laughing at each and every one of these people who think they are "BUFF" and think everyone's looking at their physique because it's so good looking.

For some reason now, I'm getting annoyed watching them do bench presses or curls and nothing else. I just want to grab them by the neck and tell them "do you not realize you have legs the size of toothpicks! Do some freakin squats!"

My question is, what percentage of the people in your gym train like this? If this is in the wrong forum, forgive me and please move to the new forum.

I have only seen two people in my gym do squats.
However, they did them with horribley with their ROM and form. Not to mention their belts and protecting foam shits.

I'd say anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 fit that description. If you consider those people who work just upper body, it's more like 3/4.

I can only think of five or six of us that do squats. Right now it's filled with way too many high school punks thinking they can get "huge" a week before spring break!

They're the ones that really piss me off......

I don't see why these guys piss you all of you off. They are just going to be smaller which makes you look that much better. Do you want everyone else to be as well balanced as we are. I don't.
I would much rather only a select few of us know how to achive great things with our bodies. I don't hate those people, but instead laugh at them.
That is of coarse until one of the faggots uses the squat rack to do their god damn curls, then I want to hit them in the face with a 25lb plate.

That's exactly it! They either use the squat rack just so they can curl the damn bar alone, or the have their little circle jerk right next to it! Lol

Brother KelJu come to the dark side. Anger and proper execution are what separates us from the unacknowledged. Let us not even discuss proper diet.

Pisses me off too! The thing that gets me pissed is my friend 'training partner' does this! I tell him too exercise legs and he say's 'I let legs look after themselves'! I'm sick of advising him now so I just leave him to do his endless good for nuffin sets of curls! What's more he thinks were competing for size AND after every workout he weigh's himself to expect growth in 1 session! He'l learn the hard way i suppose and make wimpy lil' gain's!

It is funny watching the nubs. Until they get in the way or do something stupid.

Noone fucking re-racks the weights in my gym. It is horrible. They never ever ever do it.

That's how it used to be at the Y when i went there. The new gym i joined doesn't have AS many people like that but there still are. I am not one of them. I have a whole day and a half dedicated to just legs. But for some reason i can't seem to get anywhere with them.

I was like that up until around 6 months ago. But I do agree, I would say 95 % of the guys at my gym do no legs at all, and the 5 % that do legs only do leg extensions and leg curls. I've been going to this gym since July and I can honeslty say I've only seen 3 guys doing squats or deadlifts.

It's just like my friend used to say "you can't have a cadillac without the engine."

My gym seems to have a decent amount of people who train properly... Of course there are exceptions as well... Overall I'd say about 60-70% of the people at my gym train properly (for their goals at least, it doesnt mean everyone squats or deadlifts).

I would estimate that about half of the people at my gym don't train legs, and another half of those people that do train them like pussies.

I have only witnessed two people in my gym over the last 8 months do a propper squat, and one of them was me. Love these skinny geeks loading the bar up with 315+ and doing 1/4 squats.

in my school gym its crazy. All these big guys come and just lift the dumbbells and play with them and stuff but never quite do anything else...i do squats, legg press and other leg extension stuff. as well seated rows and many others. They just stick to one thing. Its actually really irritates me as well. It makes me feel like working out is like history class...so i quit going there, now im in big boy gym s .

What gets me is when they say "Oh I run" or "I play soccer I dont need to do legs". Clueless.
Im 20. 6'3'' 235 lbs. Want to get to 8% body fat, +315 bench, +500 squat, and reach a weight between 230-240.

With you on the calf raises man but not the rows. My 2 favourite exercises are squats and rows (bent over barbell). Still, if no-one else does squats then I can use the rack whenever I want. It would be horrible if everyone else used it!

What they don't realise, is that doing squats adds total body mass as well as the thighs. I've done 2 leg workouts consisting of squats/SLDL's and calves after a long layoff, and I always find that squats make my whole body feel different.
What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)

Nothing irritates me more than some scab doing curls in the squat rack. Then you ask him how many more sets, and he responds with some stupid number like 8.

Hit it and hit it hard.

I'd say about 70 percent of the people in my gym do this.

I can't say it really bothers me, though.

    It's their loss, not mine.
