    Round shoulders and stretching

Does stretching your chest counter round shoulders? If so, what are some good chest stretches? thanks

rounded shoulders as in they are too far forward?

if that is the case then you might be suffering from something called upper cross syndrome if memory serves, basically its not only the shoulders but the whole upper body which tends to be tight anteriorly and weak posteriorly. you should also notice greater kyphosis in the cervical spine, leading to a forward drawn head.

to counter such a situation it is imperative that you begin to stretch the anterior muscles related to the spine and shoulder girdle and begin to strengthen their antagonists on the posterior.

check out exrx.net for a good site on basic kinesiology and a good layout that will help you determine which kinds of stretches/exercises to use to fix this problem.

Row, row, row, and do external rotations. Stretching the muscles in question, as Yanick has indicated, is a great idea too.
