Thumbs up Dips with a bonus

Want to get even more out of your dipping sessions?

Think the only way to make dips harder is to add weight??

Do full bodyweight dips with a bonus...

Start in the usual position between two bars, dip your body down to a safe level but very slowly (a four count) then rise up again but instead of stopping at the top continue to lift your knees up into your chest, using your abs, pulling your butt up as high as possible (you will be leaning back slightly at this point) then pause at the apex and return slowly to your starting point. Do 10 or so like that without stopping. These really hit your traps, abs, nicely and will totally fry your triceps.

If you are King Kong and flexible enough, try to straighten your legs at the apex of the move. Good luck!

These are killer and are nice finishers to any great dipping session. Enjoy.

Try a few and tell me if you like them.

Fuck that. I'll either concentrate Dips for either chest and or tri's and crunches for abs.

I'll have to try this in my circuit routines. Sounds like it's pretty difficult.

Yeah, CowPimp they would probably work well in a circuit routine.

From what I have read about your training goals, they might be up your alley.

I know you dig bodyweight movements too...

And Tough Old Man

You might be too set in your ways to even TRY something new.

But in all honesty, if you have shoulder problems, or poor flexibility in that area, they would not be the best for you anyway.

Full body movements, even though this is split into separate stages, are ideal in my opinion. This exercise must really improve flexibility, balance, and total body focus. Should be really interesting to try in a few days...
