Someone help me out please, Wrist pain

I have a bad, sharp pain in my wrist whenever i do workouts focusing around that area. The only workouts i really feel them in is when i'm curling, and also when i'm spotting someone and have to lift the weight. Basically whenever i have to focus to pick something up i get a quick but bad paint about 3 inches below my wrist on the bottom side. Any1 know what could possibly b the problem?

LOL...I was just trying to keep this at the top for ya! If I had an answer I'd give it to ya. I'll I can say is that if you injured it within the last 48-72hrs., then I would be icing it. Well...I would be icing it anyway if it's been hurting a while. I would maybe stop lifting for a few days to see if it gets better. I'm sure someone else on here may have some better advice though.

You may have some tendonitus or swelling of the medial nerve in that area. You need to try using wrist supports when doing activities that irritate that area.

Why settle for being a man when you can be an "IRONMAN".

Yeah i just got some pre-wrap and athletic tape and whenever im doing workouts that do irritate it, i'm wrapped up tight. It doesn't hurt as bad but i was just wondering what i t could be. I'll use this tape for a while and see if it helps. The 2 main things that irritate it is Preacher/Chamber curl and when i have to spot somebody.

We'll see...

and thanks to Steed for keeping the thread alive

If the tape does not work I know of some excellent wrist supports to use and you can PM me to find out what they are. Having pain in that area while doing preacher curls is more common than you might think.

Some questions for you: Are you keeping your wrist totally straight throughout the movement? Can you alternate preacher curls with unilateral/one arm at a time spider curls? Does the wrist hurt you when doing bench presses or heavy shrugs?
