Do some people need to bench more often than others?
i have a friend who i work out with. I'm about 185 and he's 230. Although i can bench more than he can he seems to be able to get stronger benching about once a week. i am used to benching about every 4 to 5 days. when i tried the once a week routine i found myself weaker than the week before. if you are a hardgainer like me do you need to workout more often than someone else who gains mass easier?

I also train twice a week on each muscle.
I've taken a whole week off before and been off by a rep or two on a few lifts when I go back to the gym. I guess that's kinda strange, since a lot of people stress the importance of letting your body rest, but I've always been weaker after I take too long off. Some people are just different. I do bicep curls in the squat cage 3 times a day! It hits my chest to! Well, at least with the form I use!
