I agree with TCD, dont do it before you work out. Probably best to do it a bit after working out or on a seperate day. Morning stretches and shaking out the 'ol muscles are still a good idea.

Sometimes I will alternate a power yoga with cardio first thing in the morning. Other times I will do a light strech yoga 1 hour before bed. It really promotes a restful sleep.

I eat yogart sometimes, does that count? But seriously, yoga is good for an adjunct to weight training when done on your days off. It really depends on your overall goal.

I agree with gopro...usually the focus of yoga is relaxation and to increase overall flexibility. In terms of bodybuilding training it usually isn't used. but it can be a nice switch from the everyday weights and cardio.

it absolutely depends on your goals.
in order to be fit overall, i've been trained to believe that all 3 facets of fitness need to be addressed: cardiovascular activity, muscle building and flexibilty. yoga is a great way to target flexibilty and if you have a good instructor, it can also be used to promote relaxation and spirituality. i've found some instructors to be lagging in the latter aspect
i think it's a great actiivty for an active rest day.
i would say do it seperately from training or cardio if doing it on the same day so you can offer a decent amount of energy to either activity instead of doing it back to back.

I have never tried the actual yoga. But after my workout I do some breathing exercises from 5-10 min surprisingly how good you feel after wards.

For those of you who are doing yoga, do you go to actual classes, follow a tape, or just do your own thing? I am really interested in trying it. Can anyone recommend any really good tapes/dvd's, or would you recommend that I sign up for a class?
    Thanks for any info!
