Leg Press n Bench Questions!??

Leg question-
Ok when your leg pressing and you puch the weight all the way up, do u lock ur knees out at the tops for a sec, or do u jus get pretty high and go on to next rep? sry if its dumb question lol

Bench question-
Any one kno of a good workout to work and build up inner chest? if you kno wat i mean, can you isolate that? Also, what the difference between close grip and wide grip on bench??? i mostly use wide grip, dose that change anything?

thxn for any help guys, its appreciated

your not supposed to lock your knees in the leg press

For innerchest do db flyes or pec dec flyes.
Close grip bench uses more triceps and less chest, wide grip uses more chest and shoulders and less triceps. Do wide grip on chest days and if u want to work ur triceps do Close grip

I generally try to stop a little short of lockout, but come as close as possible. Sometimes I lockout and rest my legs for a second in between the last couple of repetitions though. It is probably better to avoid lockout to keep the tension on the muscles involved in the lift and reduce the strain on your knee joints.

There is no way to isolate, or even emphasize, your inner chest. You cannot contract parts of a muscle. Muscle fibers run the entire length of a muscle, and you can't have half of a muscle fiber contracting without the other half contracting.

Just because you feel it in your inner chest the most means nothing. There is no inner chest. It's not a muscle. There is an upper and lower head though, the clavicular and sternal heads respectively.

Cowpimp, In the last issue of Muscle and Fitness Arnold spoke about this in the 'Ask Arnold' section in the end of the magazine. He said that he used to build up his outer chest by doing dumbell flyes and not contracting past 1/4 of the way up. Was he talking about something different?

No, probably not. Arnold is a dumbshit though. Muscle and Fitness is also filled with a bunch of crap information.

Lol his 6 days a week 3-6 hour workouts. He knows his stuff. Sorry not trying to be a smart ass i just remember when i read his ideas when i was new. The good things i got from him is eat more protein, eat more, your mind is the key to whatever you want, and do squats. What he says like the pump is needed to grow muscles workout calves 6 times a week is just a little mis guided. Doing situps to reduce body fat.

Arnold was famous for misleading people especially if he was competing against them. So I wouldn't wipe my ass with a lot of things he has published about training.
