Rmr

I was wondering how accurate these Resting Metabolic Rate Calculators are here is mine

Your Estimated Resting Metabolic Rate

Your Weight: 176 Pounds or 80 Kilograms.
There are five different methods that are commonly used to calculate your RMR. All methods are used here and then averaged. Descriptions of the methods used are down below.
According To Calculation Method One*
Your RMR is 1940 Calories per day.
According To Method Two*
Your RMR is 1945 Calories per day.
According To Method Three*
Your RMR is 1921 Calories per day.
According To Method Four*
Your RMR is 1936 Calories per day.
Note: Method Five was not calculated since you did not enter your bodyfat percentage.
Your RMR Average From All Methods
Your Average RMR is 1935 Calories per day.

So in order to cut i need to reduce my calories under this figure?

Thanks

Chris

21.6x(LBM in kg) + 310 has always been accurate for me based on what the body gem predicted it to be (A little device that measures gas exchange).

Then you multiply by your daily activity level

Sedentary = BMR X 1.2 (little or no exercise, desk job)
Lightly active = BMR X 1.375 (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/wk)
Mod. active = BMR X 1.55 (moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days/wk)
Very active = BMR X 1.725 (hard exercise/sports 6-7 days/wk)
Extr. active = BMR X 1.9 (hard daily exercise/sports & physical job or 2X day training, i.e marathon, contest etc.)

Then you have an estimate of your energy expenditure, subtract 500 cals from that to lose 1lbs/wk, 1000 cals to drop 2lbs. Keep in mind it is an estimate.

Those activity levels I took from http://www.shapefit.com/basal-metabolic-rate.html
They seem to be a bit more elaborate than the ones I used.

If sense were common, everyone would have it.

Lean Body Mass, in kg. Judt noticed you don't have you Bf%, so this formula obviously won't work for you. The activity factors will still be right.

Why was this moved to training, isn't the question diet in nature?
