Upper-lower works real good i was skeptical at first but i gave it a try and must say it's better than working parts once every week. On a side note Cow pimp whenever i row i don't feel it in my back. I pull it up to my stomach elbows back at sides but i just can't get that feeling in my back. Am i doing something wrong? I lifted heavy and light but it just wasn't there. Sorry for clogging up your thread Mike.

you are pulling with your biceps. really try and retract the shoulder blades. squeeze back. that should be the thing.

Indeed. Also, try to envision "pulling with your elbows." That helps me a lot. On a side note, I rarely feel it in my back when I do pulling movements even with my scapula retracted, just as I rarely feel it in my chest when I bench press. The muscles grow and get stronger though, so I don't complain. Heh.

Pull ups really hit my lats hard, its the only thing that makes them sore for a couple days. I can only do 4-5 at a time and just do as many sets as i can until i cant do even one more rep. About 20-25.

Yeah, that gets my lats too. I use a pretty wide grip and make sure I keep my scapula retracted tight so that I'm adducting my shoulders, not extending them.

I've also discovered a pretty cool use for the pulldown machine. Take a close grip handle (Like you might use on the seated row) and attach it. Grab the handle, remain standing, and take a few steps back. Get in proper lifting posture, keep your scapula pulled tight, and pull high to the chest. This makes my traps/rhomboids burn to all Hell.
