Cardio is like a lady, you need to dive right in, and don't worry about being too rough. And just like a lady, liquor helps.

If sense were common, everyone would have it.

not use 100% intervals....

use less intervals....

work at 89% instead of 100%....

use longer intervals at slower pace to get prepared for the next weeks...

Well at least your vision isn't too clouded to see the truth when it's right in front of you.

I'd ease in by starting out with fewer intervals
The first 3-4 feel like flying anyways, so if you're only doing 6-7, there won't be much torture time on the track.

I would recommend easing into it. If I ever slack on cardio for a bit, I usually just dive back into it headfirst though and don't listen to my own advice. Heh.

I'll tell ya, it gets me ramped back up in terms of conditioning REALLY fast. I also usually come very close to puking the first 3-5 workouts though. Christ.

The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...
