Yep, squats every leg work-out. Occasionally, If I really want to blast my thighs I will add leg press and leg extensions to my work-out. If you want to see some people's leg work-outs they are posted right below, here on the board.

Squats rule as the king of Leg building exercises. Not to mention their added benefits of inducing other muscles indirectly at the same time...i.e..glutes and back. If I could only do one leg exercise..it would be the squat...wait, I already do that. Forget leg presses..anyone can leg press 300lbs..but how many people can squat 300lbs? Much much tougher, IMHO.

Amen Cutemonkey lol. I only have a couple leg workouts and the main one is Squat. Its funny lifting at my highschool after school for baseball traing. Many kids don't like to squat and have the poorest form. My squat is not that great for being 17 its only 310 max. I plan on getting it to 400 by the beggining of summer vacation. You should also do leg curls and extensions that work good too.

Mr.Baseball, if I ever read any post you make complaining about your lifts, I will delete u.. ...you're 17? and you're crying about squatting 300lbs? Have you posted your stats...I would love to see them. I think u have a very good squat compared to anyone at any age...300lbs is a good squat IMO.

Our coach makes us go below parallel on our squats. I am trying to go for 340 this coming Monday. Hopefully I will get it up.

I eaither squat, front squat or deadlift. I almost never leg press (unless I do it unilateral).

When I go back to total body workouts I will probably squat 3x's (using percentages).

I ussually squat every leg day but on p/rr/s I have to alternate, ie: full squat, hack squat, front squat...but non the less a squat. I think they are a great lift and should be done but every once in a while I take a break from em for a week or two. I seem to come back to them harder and stronger and can put up much more weight.

Damn 310 is pretty good Mr.Baseball. I am 18 and am only getting up 205x4 ass to the grass. Don't know my 1RM.

jld2789 whats your form like? Do you go below parallel? What are your other stats?

depends on how many reps I am doing. it is much easier to keep good form when training in the 6-12 rep range that it is when you go to medium reps like 20+. I stick to mainly machines when going high reps in the 40+ range and over...
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

Out of 10 leg days I probably squat 9 of them. Much of this is due to my playing days. For sports, especially football, where raw power must be unleashed instantaniously, there just is no substitute for squats. Also I was born all ass and legs, squats have always come easy for me. Developeing my upper body has been the great accomplishment of my life..........take care.........Rich

I am squatting every leg workout, I didn't feel that leg presses or hack squats (machine) were doing me much good. The way I leg press though hits the hams because of where I place me feet, I dont like how it feels otherwise.

I squat every leg workout, and I do P-RR-S. I tried front squats, but they are just way too uncomfortable for me. I also do one-legged squats during power week. If I worked out at a gym then I would probably alternate in leg press or hack squats occasionally, but I love full squats.

I squat every workout, and also include either leg presses or hack squats. Followed by leg extensions/curls.
