My football training style HIIT program
I remember back in highschool how I could probably run laps around myself now even when I weighed 50lbs more back then. I want to try sprints as a morning HIIT cardio program.
I have a huge park right outside my apartment complex, so I took a tape and measured out 100yds. I want to start running 100yd sprints with 30 second pauses in between sprints until I give completely out. Do you guys think this would be an effective variant style of HIIT? I would imagine that I could do 10:100yd sprints at the start. My personal best was when I was a Junior in high school, and I pissed the coach off for jumping offsides twice in a row. He made me run 35:100yd sprints. I thought I was going to die that day. I would like to be able to beat 35. |

Sounds like HIIT to me. Although every variant of HIIT seems to be short intensity like 30 second sprint, then a minute low intensity, repeat. I'm not sure if resting is the same as low intensity, or if that matters.
