Actually it is the exact opposite. It is easier to create a program based on movements rather than bodyparts. When you create a program based on bodyparts you run into a shit load of complications.. you become unbalanced. Be smart, train movements.

What "people think" isn't necessary what's correct... Like Func said, training movements is much more simple overall than bodypart splits.

For someone going to the gym doing chest+tri exercises, it would be much easier for them to do something like two horizontal presses and two vertical presses.
