Chromosome X

i read this on a men,s health magazine

Your muscle mass "the genes responsible for making muscle cluster on the X choromosome", says David Bainbrigde Ph.D, How the X chromosone control our lives. That means mom may be responsible for our innate ability (or inability) to build mass.

Theres much more to it, but this is my question. Ok I know i wont get huge in two days, but the thing is I been working out for two months and its frustating because i gain muscle and loose it fast. You can actually notice the cahnges in weeks. I was wondering if my moms genes are affecting me that sverly that i wont be able to build muscle at all. She is very skinny. My diet is good and use enought protein that the body should be improving. but its frustating since on one week I gain 2 pounds the n ext one i loose them. so really i only gained 3 pound in months. My main question is genetics really that influential that I wont be able to build mass at all.
Oh yeah all my life I have been well underweight and I eat a lot, Specially in the past I used to eat a lot of candy, not anymore but in the past like 4 or more chocolate bars a day ice cream you name i ate it.

Yay for fat moms!

No Milk, no.
Milk is for babies. When you grow up, you have to drink beer.

Now that's something you don't hear everyday.

Genetics does play a role, you and I will never be able to compete in the

Olympia. From my personal experience, everyone who says 'I cant put on muscle' either has a poor training regime and diet.

Patience and commitment is a big factor in bodybuilding.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Ive been working out for over two years and though ive made gains, im not what i would consider "huge".

Stop looking for excuses, like MrMark said, its more than likely a problem with your training or diet or both.

Read more, learn more, and most importantly...give it time.

Losing weight one week versus another is an issue of not counting calories.

Since you are just starting out maybe you are just adding muscle and losing fat - or recomposing. Use the mirror not the scale, and eat more!

This is why most people fail to change their bodies from fat or skinny. Diet mastery.

Also regular weighing protocol is necessary. I weigh myself first thing in the morning AFTER I go to the bathroom, without taking in any fluids etc. Obviously clothes should be minimal.
