He is short obviously, but he does go all the way down on squat, and he follows powerlifting rules on bench which I found out is a hella harder.

I'm in college not highschool. And of course i have videos of another guy squatting on hand.

And the statement was one for motivation with the little guys.

Even though this does seem a bit far-fetched, you are talking about a 'max' yes? If so, yeah I can maybe buy it. I can maybe buy it cuz I am not there so I am not going to call bullshit.

These squats are ATG squats? (Ass To Grass...I fucking hate this label)

    Bench 365 (12/3)
    Weighted Pullups 80lbs 3x3 (3/19)
    Squat 370
    Deadlift after herniation 385lbs 3x3 (3/17)

ATG? Well he hit his max at a powerlifting meet, and from what I know they only go parallel. But none the less its quite impressive to me, I'm not all about the ATG crap. I dont see what the big deal is, I squat 500lb parallel (however I weight 235lb...) and play rugby. At the college level I can run just about anyone over, all i care about is strength and power. What is everyones obsession with ATG?

Though I believe someone else can thoroughly explain why its so good, Ill just say, theres more muscle involved. More calories being burned. More core strength needed. Etc.

The squat in my sig is parallel and I gotta say I cant hold much credit for it. Why? Cuz theres always someone there to say "was that all the way down?" Sure, it shouldnt bother me, but it made me think...yea, why cant I just go all the way down?

So I started over. Right now I rep 195lbs for ATG. 3 sets of 12. And its still hard. Shit, my first week I did 135lbs for 3 sets of 12. Just another example of how a little variation can beat the shit out of you.

Hmm, I guess I should investigate ATG before I bash it then. The guy is 3 either 3rd in the world or us for juniors class. He is at the max strength for his weight, except on bench. Lol, thats so unimaginable for me to be that strong already. He trains hard but can never really get any stronger, and he cant train to put on muscle b/c then he would be in a stronger weight class. Crazy.

How do you figure this? Powerlifters use form/technique that allows for more maximum weight than how a "bodybuilder" would typically bench.

Well when I maxed bench on my own I do 340lbs. Powerlifting rules I could only do 320lbs. For powerlifting you have to pause at the bottom and then press it up off your chest. When I did it on my own, I wouldnt say that I necessarily bounce it off my chest but, I guess there is a obvious possibility that I might have.
