well the question is can cardio reduce muscle mass or not. Because I have some fat I want to get rid off, its not much but I still dont want it. I was wondering if I increase my cardio is my muscle mass affected or not?
overtrainig with weights could reduce your muscle mass too.
increasing your amount of work and decreasing your amount of caloric intake could defenilty reduce muscle mass.
it is knowing how to walk the fine line between a calorie restriced diet and a well planed weight training and cardio program that will get you the results you want.
There's a lot of people on this site that believe they can reduce their BF and actually increase muscle mass at the same time. I'm not one of them. I feel you need to chose your goals. If your goal is to reach a certain BF% than do it! Then after you reach your desired goal start to bulk the correct way to gain muscle mass, if that's your wish.
The above comment refers to those who are not introducing outside hormones to their body. If you're juicing then yes, you could gain muscle and lose fat at the same time.
