World Gym here... It was around $420 for a year, but I don't know the start-up cost/monthly fees etc... It's nice to have access to all the World Gyms wherever you go.

My last two gyms have been free because I worked at them, heh. Before that, the last two gyms I was a member at were the following:

$50 a month, no initiation fee but 1st + last month up front
$30 a month, no initiation fee but 1st month up front (Shitty gym; special transfer from older gym to save a few bucks each month)

The last gym I worked at charged the following (After you haggled them):

    $49 a month, $49 startup or...
    $39 a month, $99 startup

They also had special rates for students, senior citizens, law enforcement, and a few other categories which was:

    $39 a month, $49 startup or...
    $35 a month, $99 startup
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

Something like $120 a month, plus like $1000 upfront.

But... Im in NYC where everything is expensive, and my job pays for my gym membership.

When I lived in Chicago, I think I paid $30 a month at ballys.

The staff at my place, on reception and cleaning, range from ~15-20. They are always looking for new people.

Laws differ my place. Canada restricts legal full time work to those above 15.
But that's full time. I think part time is younger.

    Ask them about that.
