    Kelly Bagget Athelete Templates

    http://www.elitefts.com/documents/workout_templates.htm

I thought this was a pretty cool really basic guide to designing a template for an athlete. For those that are interested in more than vanity, check it out.

Yea, I read this article awhile ago.

Pimp, if you are really interested in sport specific training, check out this book edited by Bill Foran called High Performance Sports Conditioning. DaleMabry recommended it to me so I just started reading. It is a great read. A lot of things you already know but the set up is good and then it goes onto training templates and programing for a bunch of different sports. The kicker is that Foran only edited it.....each individual chapter is written by a strength and conditioning coach who is an expert in the specific field/sport. Lots of great writers...gray cook, peter twist, mike clark, jack daniels (the great running coach), William Kraemer, Steve Plisk, Donald Chu and a bunch of other guys....

you can get a used copy at amazon right now for like $12 which is a steal!

Funny you say that. Last night I just happened to order that book. Dale sent me a PM about it like a month ago. Because orders over $25 get free shipping, I went ahead and got a book called Functional Training for Sports by Mike Boyle too. This coming weekend I take my certification exam, so I will have some more time to read other stuff that's a bit more interesting.

I'm sure I'll extract a good bunch of information from both of them. I'm excited to read these. I need to get Supertraining up in there at some point too.

Supertraining is intense. Lots of rambling. I got it a year ago and had read pieces here and there as far as things that interested me. A few months back I took it cover to cover. there is some really great stuff in that book. he gets indepth.

I'm down for some rambling. Even if I get a little lost throughout, I'm sure I'll have fun with it. There is too much to read dammit. I read that the book on designing training programs that was authored by Kraemer was really good and super technical too.
