what about bb triceps extensions (behind the head) standin or sitting (forgot it's name ....... will it do the job instead of the skull crushers ? i know that i should try and see what works but i mean is it the same range of motion and the same effect?
They're all basically the same. The elbow extends, voila. The only real way to make a significant difference is doing the extensions with your shoulders flexed (Overhead extensions) relative to an extension with your shoulders in a relaxed position (Pushdowns). The long head of the triceps gets too much slack in it when you down extensions with your shoulders relaxed because it crosses at the shoulder joint, so it doesn't make for as strong of a contraction, though it still gets worked regardless.Originally Posted by assassin
