What kind of goals are you looking for? I think nobody has responded because you are a little vague on what you are looking for. Well, that and it has only been 1 1/2 hrs..LOL
    Patience Grasshopper.

140lbs and bench 160lbs. Wow How new are you to weightlifting? I weigh 188, and can only bench 150(I think, been a few weeks since I have maxxed), but I have been lifting for about 2 months or so now. Guess it varies from person to person. I.E im a wuss.

ty ty ty i read some things about the intenisy of my workout is waht counts ... so what i understood from it was, was to lift until my form is broken or atleast until i see my self using other parts of my body to complete a movement, meaning until i can no longer complete the lift or [Curl] with complete contol of the movemnet ,,,,,.????? is this correct

Just make sure when lfiting that you are doing a weight in which you can finish your sets, however if you can get a weight where you are working till failure or close to it, that is best, just remember form is key. Also, RUN to your local GNC and pick up some weight gainer or at least a protein shake that will get you started on the supplements you are gonna need. ALso, a Mega Men Multivitamin is another staple supplement. Make sure you have adequate access to a gym and make a commitment to get in there and work. GOOD LUCK.

You are correct. We were all newbies once, desperately searching for answers. I need to know about your current routine. What is your bodypart split? What days do you train? What are your exercises? How many sets/reps do you perform?

do you lift at home or at a Gym? It is pretty hard to find mentor online, because that person isnt there with you while you work out to point out your mistakes or to congratulate you when you achieve your goal. I found a mentor at the Gym and the guy has been a great help to me so far when i first started lifting 6 months ago i used to weight like 160 with bench 150 now i weight 175 with benchpress max 250 2x.

You need to build a foundation to work with. You need to work on basic, compound exercises that focus on the muscles of the legs, back, and chest. Here is a basic routine to get you started...

    monday:
    - squats...3 x 6-10
    - stiff deadlifts...3 x 6-10
    - bench press...3 x 6-10
    - bent row...3 x 6-10

    wednesday:
    - military press...3 x 6-10
    - barbell curl...3 x 6-10
    - close grip bench press...3 x 6-10
    - crunches...2 x 25-50

    friday:
    - deadlifts...3 x 6-10
    - dumbell lunge...3 x 6-10
    - incline press...3 x 6-10
    - dumbell row...3 x 6-10

Let me know if you have questions...

Id advise getting a diet sorted too... You want to be eating loads atm but just think about what it is before you put it in your mouth. Dont go mad on dairy products ( except skimmed milk ) And try to eat meat once a day

    Good luck

Stay away from creatine or beast crap........
waste of dough among other things.
I'm also a dad and I started my son at 15
and you know what after he finally learned
to just listen a little bit and stopped trying
to do it overnight he started "getting it".
Won't be long now and he'll be kicking my
    ass.
So there's a way to get back at your old man
who is a "dikhead", listen to him, learn from
him and then kick his ass.

Cool LF, don't worry about the difference in size, its normal.
BTW, don't forget the TRI's make up 2/3 of your arm so don't leave them out!!

Good job on the arms LF. It looks like progression is kickin in nicely. I wouldn't worry too much about changing your grip on the curls though. Just stick to the basics.
