do crunches, back crunches, cable crunches and knee ups. Put lots of intensity on your abs and do the form properly to build muscles in your abs.
If you are fat, burn off the fat first, until u are lean enough to build muscle in that area, Once you are lean and have muscles in your abs you can also bulk without having to worry about your waist expanding so much. . Im also on ab training, i dont have quite the abs i want but Im getting closer and closer. .Work on your abs about 3 times a week if you are new to it...not daily. thats bad. |

I train my abs with crunches once a week if i feel like it.
The other day my abs felt like theyd been hit harder by 3 sets of heavy deadlifts than after my crunches. Today im doing squats and going for a new PR, and i can assure you they're going to get hit hard again. Your abs support everything you do in training, and a good diet will make them visible. Get a good routine for the rest of your body, get your diet in order, and after a few months of that if you feel like you need to do a little more to them, THEN do crunches. If your routine is intense enough though, often you wont NEED to do direct work more that once a week. If that. Abs are just another muscle, and should be treated like the rest of them. |
