I don't think skipping direct bi and tri work is much of a problem at all, ever.
i have been gifted with arms that gain muscle very easily. the offset to this is that my arms are bigger than my calves. i've been pretty lazy the last 8-9 months and have found myself just maintaining. in these lazy few months, i only work biceps and triceps once every 2 or 3 weeks (and only 4-5 sets at that). everything else has been consistent, but with lack of intensity and shitty diet. i am still exactly the same as I was before.
my question is, now that I am serious about lifting again - do you think it would be beneficial to continue skipping bi and tri in favor of recovery for the other muscle groups?
I don't think skipping direct bi and tri work is much of a problem at all, ever.
What this means is that when we drop a ball and it falls to the ground, it wasn't the ball that moved (down to the ground), but the ground that moved (up to the ball)
Of course it's beneficial. I very rarely do direct bicep/tricep work. I did my first set of curls and skull crushers this week and it has been like 3-4 months since i last did them and my arms are still growing. Compound exercises baby!
I haven't done a bicep curl or tricep extension of any kind in several months. Of course, I don't train for size, but my arms are a reasonable size relative to my overall body mass anyway.

I say prioritize your lacking areas, but don't skip out on your upper arms just because they grow easy, take advantage of that!

hit them with few sets after heavy compound exercises using them ...hit triceps after shoulders or chest day with 3-5 low rep sets and same for biceps after doing back .... instead of skipping them....
I don't even know why I train triceps, I never did the first 4 years I trained and they were big. I think compound movements done right are 95% of all you need for big arms.
I highly recommend all IronMagLabs supplements!

Shit I know for a fact that foreman's arms are bigger then his calves and so are mine. What the point on that part of your question.

Arm isolation movements aren't that taxing really, I don't think you would need to skip them in order to recover.
